This week I got sent a Dozen Red Roses. Before you start thinking wow Daddy Bird must be a real romantic, they were not from him and they were not flowers. The lovely people at the English Cheesecake Company sent me a selection of their special Mothers Day Cheesecakes to review.
I am a big fan of cheesecake,no I take that back ……I am a MASSIVE fan cheesecake. Its my chosen dessert when I eat out at a restaurant and its the one dessert I love making at home with the children. So you can image how excited I was went The Dozen Red Roses was delivered to me.
When they arrived Daddy Bird was just going out the front door because he was going away for the weekend to Poland Skiing with a friend. I was sad to see him go and when he opened the front door there was a lovely delivery driver standing there holding a Dozen Red Roses for me. I am not kidding when I say that I went from sad to happy in less than 15 seconds. When Daddy Bird had left I shut the door, opened up the box and realised that I was going to be fine this weekend.
The Mini Cheesecakes come beautifully boxed and frozen, you need to remove the paper from around the cheesecakes and for best results place them in the fridge to defrost for around 8 hours. I am not going to lie I was desperate for these to defrost but they are definitely worth the wait.
The Dozen Red Roses are a selection of 12 mini cheesecakes that are designed to put a smile on your Mums face this Mothers Day. Inside the box is six vanilla and six chocolate mini baked cheesecakes, topped with a decadent dark chocolate fudge sauce and a delicate red chocolate rose bud. Loaded with crushed cookies, flakey milk chocolate pieces, crunchy honeycomb and Swiss Peaks milk chocolate chunks.
As I said earlier I am a massive fan of Cheesecake and this selection from The English Cheesecake Company are absolutely beautiful. If you were to ask me which was my favourite I would have to say the flakey milk chocolate cheesecake. The rose on the top is so yummy, the children were desperate to get their fingers on it. Its the first time I have tried the chocolate cheesecake and I thought maybe it would be a bit sickly but I was wrong it wasn’t. I thought it was the perfect amount of chocolate for this dessert.
The English Cheesecake Company have a great range of cheesecakes created with love for Mothers Day. So why not pop over and have a look and spoil your mum. It will definitely put a smile on her face, and with Free Delivery what more could you ask for.
