Warner Brothers Saves Easter

To be fair this hasn’t been the best Easter for our family,after a phone call on Good Friday with terrible news that a family member on my husbands side was in hospital. It took Daddy Bird away from the family for all of Easter and then days after. Then to top all that off the weather was awful so I spent most of the time stuck at home with the children. This is where Warner Brothers stepped in and saved Easter for the Bird family. On Easter Saturday we had a knock at the door and there stood my lovely postman with a parcel for me from Warner Brothers. When I opened it I found a lovely selection of Warner Brothers DVDs,Cadburys mini eggs and some Easter chicks.

The children were so excited when they saw the DVD’s,we watched one a day for the rest of the Easter weekend and they were a god send after the way our Easter was going. The Warner Brothers DVDs we received were Bugs Bunnies Easter Funnies,Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Willy Wonker and the Chocolate Factory.

First up we watched Willy Wonker and the Chocolate Factory,I was keen to show the children the old version of Charlie and the Chocolate factory,because it was a film that I grew up with and I have fond memories watching it with my brothers. This copy is on blu ray and I was shocked because the quality of this film is amazing. Just as we were putting the DVD on,this film came on the TV. The original picture makes it look so old and dated but the blu ray version gives it a whole new feel and I love it. I would definitely recommend buying it on blu ray,its a classic!

We then watched a newly animated version of Bug Bunnys Easter Funnies. The children enjoyed the storyline. The Easter Bunny becomes poorly and they need someone else to take over his duties of delivering eggs on Easter morning. There is only one person who is suitable for this job and it has be be Bugs Bunny,but its not that easy,Slyvester,Pepe Le Pew,Foghorn and a particular pesky duck want to get in on the action.  This DVD comes with special features,there is a bonus classic cartoon –His Hare Raising Tale,and 3 interactive Looney Tunes Puzzle Games.

Then we watched the childrens favourite film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,they have seen it at their cousins house and they love it so they were really surprised when the say it was included in our Easter bundle. We received the Blu-Ray version and its amazing quality. Every time I see a film on Blu-ray it always amazes me how clear it is. The story is very similar to the old version it has just been modernised and I think its done brilliantly,I love Johnny Depp in it he plays the part of Willy Wonker very well. We would definitely recommend watching it.

All of us would like to thank Warner Brothers for this Easter bundle. After our bad week,it was just what the children needed to brighten their Easter Holidays up. Thank You xxxxx
